I'm not sick but I'm not well

You'll never believe this but I'm actually having a hard time articulating just how incredibly angry I am at the situation in this country.

He said 'gangs', right? My ears are a little bit gacked up and I think I've got that throaty cough that's going round, but Cameron definitely pointed to a 'gang problem' outside No. 10 this morning, didn't he?

I mean, I feel like my nose has been removed from my face, had the reverse side applied energetically to a cheesegrater and replaced. My glands are all puffy, my sinuses are throbbing like a fucker and my ears aren't working as well as they should, but I could have sworn I heard a dogwhistle round about then.

Oh, he also used the words "phoney human rights".

An entire ocean away I had to almost stop my car and stare at my radio because I could not believe my ears.

I'm sorry. I'm just... sorry.

Later Edit: Apologies; I hadn't seen your comments to my entry before I read yours. Sorry for the repetition.

The lack of words is actually my problem too, but in quite another tack. Elsewhere on the 'Net, I am considering whether it's worth going into a discussion with someone who says that he is not as outraged as I am and that the objections raised to the particular move about the publication of those photos "does sound like 'phoney'". To make matters more complicated, technically he's got as few real chips on this table as I have---I'm an ocean away; he's an ocean and half a world away. I want to tell him that I am not outraged that there is some official action to stop looting and burning; I am outraged that there are people who have been systematically deprived and suffering for a long time now and they tried to burst out for once and now nothing is going to change except many have lst their livelihoods, and oh by the way, the "people" "in charge" are still using WeaselMonkey language when talking about this, and words mean things or at least should mean things and gah and about there is where I also run out of words. What to do?

Oh, my ears, they are ringing with dog whistles. There's going to be a lot more. Brace yourself.
